KanEL and Rexel Sweden expand energy storage offering for Swedish companies
KanEL and Rexel Sweden are initiating a collaboration that enables Swedish installers and companies to access a broader range of energy storage solutions. As more businesses seek increased security in their power supply and better control over their energy costs, Rexel is now strengthening its product range with products from the Italian battery player WeCo via KanEL.
Through the collaboration, KanEL delivers battery systems from WeCo to Rexel, which in turn makes them available to installers across the country. The products are offered with advanced backup functionality that ensures operation even during grid outages, something that is in demand by, for example, agriculture, smaller industries, and commercial operations.
— This is a nice step forward for us. Together with Rexel, we can make WeCo's Italian energy storage solutions available to more people, and at the same time offer a complete package solution with both control and hardware. Rexel has a strong network throughout the country and their logistics make it easy for installers to work with a unified concept, says Martin Ascard, CEO of KanEL.
KanEL also provides a platform for control and energy management that can be used together with WeCo's products. This gives installers the opportunity to offer end customers a cohesive package where both hardware and control come from the same supplier, a solution that simplifies installation, operation, and support.
— We see a growing demand for energy storage and backup power, and therefore we are happy to broaden the range with WeCo's products via KanEL. The products come from an established European player and offer, among other things, an advanced solution for backup power during grid outages.
